**JOIN CHEF ANTONIO PARK’S NEW RESTAURANT OPENING**

Renowned Chef Antonio Park and Scale Hospitality are seeking passionate, experienced front of house, back of house, and management team members to be a part of the most exciting, new hospitality openings of the year. As featured in the New York Times, the much-anticipated AP restaurant will launch this Fall atop the Manulife Centre. This ultra luxurious dining & lounge concept will boast one of the greatest skyline views in the city, as well as not one but two spectacular terraces overlooking downtown Toronto.

We are looking for an efficient, BARBACK who thrives in a team environment and works well with others to ensure our customers receive prompt, seamless, engaging service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc
  • Ensure the bar is well stocked with ice, liquor, beer and wine and all nonalcoholic beverages
  • Check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs, or changing out kegs, if needed
  • Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
  • Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in the reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored properly
  • Learn about menu items and memorize cocktail recipes
  • Other duties to support the bartender and ensure that the bar operates smoothly

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year experience as a barback in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A positive, energetic outlook with a passion for hospitality
  • Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails and liquors
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail
  • Efficient and reliable with excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25-40 lbs
