Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Building Operator to join our Technical Operations team. Reporting to the Manager of Building Operations, this position will be responsible for the following:

· Leading with daily operations and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and equipment, including operation and regulation of industrial, commercial and laboratory HVAC systems, steam and hydronic heating and cooling systems and general maintenance like plumbing, pest control and ventilation

· Maintaining parts and supplies inventory to ensure adequate stock is available

· Establishing positive connections with tenant companies in our parks and providing exceptional service to address any concerns in a timely manner

· Assisting supervisors and asset management in identifying aging infrastructure, energy-saving solutions, and preventative maintenance work

What We Want from You

· 3-7 years of experience related to commercial building operations required

· Valid TSASK Fifth Class Power Engineer License required

· Comprehensive understanding of building HVAC systems, steam and hot water boiler systems and general network infrastructure

· Sound working knowledge and commitment to workplace safety and regularly reviewing company policies and SOPs

· Ability to assess and troubleshoot a variety of maintenance problems

· Self-motivation and ability to work independently under minimal supervision

· Flexibility to participate in on-call shift rotation, respond to emergency call-outs and action to resolve issues

· Confidence providing estimates for labour, materials, price and delivery to tenant companies and ability to stay on budget and timeline

· Effective communication, teamwork and time management skills

· Excellent understanding of how to ensure a safe work environment for tenant companies, co-workers and contractors working at the parks

· Building Systems Technician Certificate preferred

· Valid TSASK Refrigeration Operator or Refrigeration Engineer License preferred

· Valid TSASK Fourth Class Power Engineer License preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.76-$38.85 per hour
