As a Report Integrity & Compliance Specialist with the Records Processing Team, you will be required to:
  • Receive reports through the telephone system from Calgary Police Service (CPS) police officers and external partners (for example Calgary Transit) to process and analyze data to comply with CPS policies and Stats Canada reporting requirements.
  • Process various Criminal Code occurrence reports for entry into the police computer system and through Direct Data Entry.
  • Process hardcopy reports (such as property lists).
  • Respond to inquiries from members of CPS regarding confidential case file information, while maintaining Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) requirements.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED).
  • At least 1 year of office experience, with an emphasis on data entry.
  • A typing speed of 50 words per minute (WPM), excellent spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Previous experience with the Sentry database system will be considered an asset.
  • You must demonstrate professionalism, effectively manage stress, and appropriately deal with sensitive and graphic material.
  • Success in this role requires: exceptional customer service skills; high attention to detail; strong communication skills; being a team player; and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Working Conditions: Office environment with exposure to graphic, disturbing, and sensitive material

Days of Work: Week 1: 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, 5 days off
Week 2: 2 day shifts, 3 night shifts, 4 days off
Week 3: 2 night shifts, 2 day shifts, 5 days off.


Hours of work: Non-standard 40 hour work week
