We are currently seeking Lifeguards for our upcoming summer camp season. Ideal candidates will be available for our entire summer camp season (July-August), enjoy working outdoors, and have experience working with children. Both day and overnight camp positions are available. This job also may include transportation to and from your house by camp bus from certain areas, including Newmarket/Aurora/Vaughan/Woodbridge/Maple/Richmond Hill.

The Camp
Kettleby Valley is a traditional summer camp, offering both day and overnight camp programs in the heart of York Region. We host approximately 240 day and 100 overnight campers each week throughout July and August. We are situated on 60 private acres with forests, fields and waterfront. Our goal is to create unique outdoor experiences for campers and staff while developing resilience, confidence, and a healthy sense of independence. Each year, we bring together a team from near and abroad to deliver our highly sought after program. Kettleby Valley is large enough to have the energy and enthusiasm to make kids feel like they’re part of something special, yet small enough to be able maintain a sense of community.
Candidates must be available from 9:00-4:00 Monday to Friday from July 4-Aug 25, with the exception of Aug 7. There will be a mandatory staff training June 29-July 1.
We are looking for fun, enthusiastic swim staff who want to work outside this summer to join our guard team. Responsibilities include scanning and supervising campers and staff while they swim in our 2 outdoor pools, assisting with cleaning/sanitization of the pool and change room facilities, and maintaining a safe, waterfront environment. As a part of our swim staff you will have the opportunity to connect with campers in all age groups and be a part of their memorable summer camp experience. Candidates must possess current NLS and Standard First-Aid certifications.
We are also looking for a lifeguard to assist at our canoeing activity. Canoe staff teach campers the proper techniques and safety procedures to canoe around our modest waterfront. There may be the opportunity to get your ORCKA certification prior to the start of camp.
