LaPrairie Works Inc. is a diversified and growing transportation specialist. We come with over 37 years of operating experience in Western Canada, and our core business areas include highway maintenance, on and off highway hauling, oilfield services, mine contracting and site services.
LaPrairie Works is currently recruiting permanent full-time Class 1 or 3 Operators to expand our team of transportation and logistics professionals in the Rycroft Region of Alberta.
You are an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working Equipment Operator. You bring a Class 1 or 3 driver's license and take pride in keeping Alberta provincial highways safe. You will be responsible for clearing and maintaining Alberta highways, using various heavy equipment.

Essential Responsibilities*
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year round, including assisting with labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Must possess a valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Must provide a copy of a clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
Work Conditions
- Applicants that reside in the Rycroft, AB area will be given preference due to the location of this role
Shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
