We are seeking a Laser Operator for one of our clients in Oakville, Ontario. This position is responsible for reading blueprints and drawings. The Laser Operator will detect equipment failures or out-of-tolerance cutting/machining and change the machine controls to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Programs to Operate machines to Laser Cut the Sheet Metal.
• Identify and label parts.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts into machines and storage shelves.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with the requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly or not.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

Job Requirements

• Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of essential machine maintenance.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer-focused working environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small business environment.
• A motivated team player with a “can-do” attitude that can troubleshoot, focus and organize work area.
• Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
• Quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Willingness to assist other plant personnel when required.

Shift Timings

Morning: 6am- 2:30pm

Afternoon: 2:30pm-11pm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
