Red Deer, AB
Hours
The expected work hours run 8:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday with the occasional weekend. Overtime may be required according to business needs. You will be eligible for overtime in accordance with Provincial Legislation.
Job Responsibilities
A construction labourer will assist electricians with the installation of solar racking and modules on residential and commercial buildings in central Alberta.
Duties
- Loading and unloading construction materials, & moving them to work areas
- Installing and removing ladders, control zones and fall arrest systems on rooftops
- The installation, alignment, and fastening of materials and performing related activities
- Removing rubbish, recycle and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
- Operating manual and powered hand tools
- Directing traffic at or near construction sites
- Working outdoors in inclement weather conditions
Skills and Qualifications
- Class 5 driver’s licence
- CSTS 2020
- Appropriate safety training, first aid and fall protection would be an asset
- Some knowledge or capacity to learn electrical construction & safety concerns
- A quality mindset and attention to detail are important
- Reliable transportation to site
Additional Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting electrical in their tasks where required
