Position Summary:

The Site Superintendent is accountable for achieving construction excellence , managing, and coordinating all onsite construction activities and supervising all construction personnel/trades to successfully complete the project within scope. This includes ensuring that the project fulfills all design and safety specifications, maintaining the highest quality of work while leading, administrating, and adhering to health and safety practices for all on-site activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction, including trades, subcontractors, and workers, ensuring compliance with building code and safety regulations
  • Establish the change control process, managing the change control process, and executing project change requests.
  • Coordinate and lead weekly meetings with project developer (Owner) including developing meeting agendas, sharing related documents at least 24 hrs. in advance, and discussing outstanding contract items
  • Proactively identify and raise issues and risks to the developer and developing mitigation recommendations (solutions for fixing the issue/risk)
  • Manage all aspects of health and safety
  • Read and interpret drawings and documents and spearhead the implementation on site.
  • Maintain effective relationships with contract/trades personnel including external engineers and consultants
  • Manage logistics, equipment, and materials  as well as coordinate inspectors, engineers, and testing
  • Provide input and participate in construction and pre-construction meetings
  • Maintain high quality control standards and participate in customer service meeting, walkthroughs, and deficiency list resolution
  • Complete relevant reports and administrative work

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a site superintendent on residential construction
  • Ability to read and understand architectural, engineering, construction and shop drawings
  • Thorough understanding of the engineering and architectural design process.
  • Experience in wood frame construction
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong computer literacy including use of Microsoft Office products and project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to work weekends
  • Valid class G driver’s license
