Bilingual Contract SpecialistRemote 90% (1-year contract)

Reporting to the Manager of Contracts, the selected worker will partner closely with other departments and service organizations to contribute to the overall success of the company’s objectives. The primary goal is to deliver RFX (request for proposal) submissions within customer-defined deadlines.
Responsible for the entire RFx project lifecycle from inception to award. Responsible for managing inquiries related to contract processes and support all tasks and functions relating to bids and contract management and work with cross-functional teams to achieve company-wide objective. Responsible for collaborating with the sales, marketing, and finance team to generate quotations. Participates in contract negotiations and in formulation/implementation of the negotiation strategy. Ensures Project Execution. Ensures adherence to internal standards and compliance with external regulations. Contributes to standardization of contracts and improvement processes.

This role needs someone who has strong time management skills, project management skills, keen attention to details, a customer-centric approach. You are comfortable in reviewing and articulating details from contract and bid documents and bringing people together to meet a common goal. You will be driven by learning new things, being comfortable in sharing your thoughts driving process improvement initiatives and producing and working with tools that will create efficiency. You are open to change, collaborating and willing to give and receive feedback

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce quotations and proposals in French and English
  • Responsible for coordinating the entire RFx and contract lifecycle process from initial intake to final submission and contract award and ensure all deadlines are met
  • Review of contractual terms and conditions, identify risks and coordinate all the activities between the customer and internal stakeholders to finalize and sign the contract
  • Responsible for sourcing bid opportunities on various bid websites.
  • Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams, sales, marketing, finance and legal
  • Participate and implement process and system improvement initiatives
  • Validate purchase orders and execute contract transactions
  • Ensure company’s policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries promptly
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for internal and external customers
  • Produce Service Renewals as required
  • Update contract information in SharePoint databases

Qualifications & Skills:

  • University or college degree with relevant experience
  • Fluent French and English oral and written
  • RFx project management is an asset
  • Contracts administration experience with good understanding of terms and conditions is an asset
  • Proven time management and organizational skills to support a deadline driven environment and ensuring stakeholders adhere to deadlines
  • Self-motivated ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively
  • Must be analytical and detail oriented
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint an asset
  • A Paralegal License/Certificate and inhouse training with a Law Firm will be an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $58.00-$63.00 per hour

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
