JOB PURPOSE:
We are currently searching for a Cook to work inside the kitchen located in Long-Term facility to serve the residents on daily basis. Trillium Court Facility
Location: Kincardine, ON
Shifts:
- To Be Determined
Responsibilities:
- Cook food for the residents of a Long-term facility
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and order
- Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of foods
- Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients
- Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
- Setting up the work station
- Developing recipes that comply with company policy
- Attend in-service training as required in order to better serve the needs of the residents;
- Work in a position of trust with vulnerable adults (residents)
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Must have:
- Experience using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils.
- Food Handler Certificate is a must.
- Working in a nursing home considered a strong asset.
- Equivalent College diploma.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible working different hours including weekends.
- Team player.
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 mons.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour

- Weekend availability
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
