GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


The Human Capital Management (HCM) Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of the Municipality’s organization and reporting structure and of the central repository of employee master data within the SAP- Personnel Administration (PA), Benefits (BN) and Organizational Management (OM) environments.


Department Support:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, HCM-SAP, provides ongoing cross-support to HCM PA, BN and OM modules. Participates in integration testing as required. Provides cross departmental support to all branches of Human Resources, employees, leadership, Elected Officials and retirees. Organizes activities for other related programs and special projects as required.


SAP- Personnel Administration Coordination:
Administers Personnel Administration systems and processes which includes the data entry of employee files in the SAP system and updates master files as changes occur, such as new hires, rehires, organizational changes, changes in pay, salary continuance, leave of absence (paid & unpaid), retirement, termination and other employee information.


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:


Candidates need to show evidence of the following:

  • Proficiency in SAP HCM modules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage work tasks to ensure daily and weekly deadlines are met.
  • Proven communication, interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and decision-making competencies.
  • Proven experience with computer software and working knowledge with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Ability to develop working relationships and effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Working knowledge of Employee standards, legislation, collective agreements, municipal policies, and Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and ability to maintain high level of accuracy and confidentiality of materials and information.


EDUCATION:


  • Diploma in Office Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.


EXPERIENCE:


  • Two (2) years’ experience in a Human Resources environment including six (6) months in the use of SAP or other ERP system required.
  • Experience working in a public-sector environment with unionized and non-unionized employees considered an asset.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check for review and acceptance.
  • A valid Class Five (5) Operator’s Licence is required.
