Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Credit Clerk on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan reporting to the Credit Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of client payment records, Equifax orders from local co-ops, and incoming cheques and Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT)

  • You will manage new applications for commercial customer accounts with FCL.
  • You will be responsible to allocate EFT and cheques to correct general ledger accounts, which will include contacting internal department to collect codes.
  • You will prepare bank deposits and electronic deposit of cheques.
  • You will key and match customer payments.
  • You will manage department emails, answering and delegating internal and external customer inquiries
  • You will enter journal entries, debit memos, and credit memos as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

  • You have a high school diploma and one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution OR
  • You have a high school diploma and 1 year of relevant accounting experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area
  • You’re familiar with basic accounting functions (debits and credits)
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
