We are currently recruiting for a full-time Service Writer and Parts Advisor to join our team in Bowmanville!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent customer service and ensures an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer. Ensures a smooth flow of communication with customers at all times.
  • Respond efficiently to all customer inquiries, requests and concerns, over the phone (and in person when required)
  • Understands customer needs, manage customer concerns and problems promptly
  • Ordering parts and supplies for vehicle and radio equipment
  • Complete entry of all data fields to create POs, correct/edit existing POs as needed, update and maintain vendor information
  • Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Check all suppliers’ offerings before processing any orders
  • Parts sourcing and researching new vendors
  • Parts sales/order taking
  • Completes other tasks, as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Customer-oriented, highly approachable individual who thrives on offering exceptional customer service as well as professional communication with suppliers, customers and staff
  • Ability to complete purchasing & inventory tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and provide assistance and support to team
  • Ability to resolve purchasing and/or customer issues
  • Ability to adapt to, and manage, challenging and changing situations
  • Positive attitude, punctual and solid work ethic
  • Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Minimum two years’ purchasing/procurement experience
  • Pre-employment Police Background check is mandatory
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Experience with Police/Fire/Fleet parts an asset
  • RV/Marine dealership experience an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
