Customer Service Associate

We are a busy B2B Food Production company looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our growing team based in Mississauga, ON. In this position, the candidate will be the face of our company as well as processing daily purchase orders and arranging transportation, while developing and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with all customers and vendors.

Core Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers, clients and accepting deliveries
  • Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of orders from customers utilizing the organizations’ internal software system.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Co-ordinate the handling of difficult and unusual situations
  • Communicate customer updates and complaints with the different internal departments. Processing Purchase Orders and Invoices, through e-mail and using QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Responding to customer inquiries through email and on the telephone
  • Coordinating communication between customers and vendors as required
  • Coordinating transport logistics and ensuring transport costs are on track as budgeted.
  • Assisting with general office administration as required.

Job Terms

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Probationary Period: 3-months
  • Shift Requirement: Day shift, must be flexible to fit in different shifts according to business requirement including Saturday or Sundays.

What you should have

  • Minimum 1 year receptionist experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, preference to call-center experience.
  • Foodservice industry knowledge, experience in produce sector is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
