Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC) and Georgia Strait Women's Clinic (GSWC) are an ever-growing organization currently with 34 inpatient beds for men and 10 for women receiving treatment for addictions, mental health, and trauma. Our compassionate team of counsellors, doctors, nurses, support staff, and other professionals is central to SCHC's and GSWC's ability to provide effective care. Our Client Services department is an integral team that acts as the bridge between our medical and clinical departments as well as between clients and all staff.

Client Services Team Leaders provide a safe and supportive environment for clients at SCHC and GSWC. Client Services Team Leaders perform an important role for every client as a dedicated and knowledgeable support person, providing unbiased, compassionate, and empathetic care to meet our clients‘ needs while with us.

We are currently looking to add one full-time and one part-time temporary contract positions, with potential to lead into permanent casual positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist clients during their time at SCHC/GSWC in a professional, compassionate, and empathetic manner.
  • Develop and maintain supportive and advocating relationships with clients from arrival to departure.
  • Maintain and support client “culture and climate” at SCHC/GSWC.
  • Empower clients during their treatment through collaboration, contribution, and presence.
  • Lead client admission and orientation for new arrivals.
  • Regularly check-in with new clients and ensure they are settling in after admission.
  • Guide clients to proper avenues when they have concerns.
  • Respond to and support client inquiries in collaboration with clinical staff as needed.
  • Lead client outings and coordinate off-site appointments as required.
  • Approve client requests for day passes or LOAs, following protocols and procedures.
  • Administer medications as requested, following protocols and procedures in place.
  • Collaborate with senior management and CEO with day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Maintain health & safety and emergency procedures as outlined in SCHC/GSWC policies.

Requirements:

  • Class 4 Drivers License
  • SMART facilitators certification
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
