DeBruin Farms is a second generation 250 head family dairy farm on beautiful, rural Wolfe Island, ON. The farm is located on Wolfe Island, just outside of Kingston, ON, with a great community and school system. We are seeking two reliable, hard-working, and team playing herds people for full time, permanent positions to assist with the herd, milking operations, and field work as needed.
Opportunities for professional development and training available. Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate, relocation to Wolfe Island preferred.
Job description
Responsibilities include:
- Feeding, milking, and cleaning cows.
- Monitoring and treatment of sick animals.
- Artificial insemination and aiding in the calving of cows.
- Unloading and stacking hay and straw during harvest season.
- Cleaning and maintenance of barn and farm equipment.
- Operating tractors and heavy equipment for field work and feeding.
Ideal qualifications:
- Physical fitness and ability to work in and fast-paced environments.
- 1 to 2 years experience working in agriculture.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Calm and patient while handling animals.
- Ability to perform minor equipment repairs.
- Problem solver, ability to work well under stress.
45-55 hours per week, Monday to Friday and every other weekend. $17-18 per hour depending on experience and education.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
