The Data & Analytics Strategy Analyst will be joining the dynamic Architecture, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategy and Product, you will work closely with all facets of OMERS to support the delivery of new and existing data and analytics products and services to drive sustainable growth at OMERS.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Preparing compelling communications, PowerPoint presentations, emails, newsletters, website, BI dashboards and use other mediums to convey key messages to multiple levels of the organization including senior most leadership
Operating as a thought leader in the creation of planning, strategy, objectives, key results, and KPI development for the Data & Advanced Analytics team
Preparing business cases, KPI frameworks, roadmaps and pipeline summaries
Working cross-functionally with multiple business stakeholders
Preparing data visualizations in PowerBI following a visual storytelling approach to conveying strategic insights that enable rapid decision making
Preparing product backlogs, supporting the product management approach to data, analytics and AI capability development, facilitating in Agile Scrums and facilitating design thinking sessions
Conducting non-routine analyses, including data gathering, processing, analysis employing advanced statistical and ML methods, with ongoing deliverables to improve the quality of insights teams

To succeed in this role, you have:
A Bachelor's degree with quantitative component (e.g., Business, Commerce, Science)
Former or current consulting experience preferred
3+ years of experience in analytics development, analytics translation to the business and data visualization
The ability to create executive level PowerPoint presentations
The ability to be a collaborative team player with superior influencing skills, who builds relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
An outcome focused, critical thinking mindset with the ability to analyze and visualize, to ensure continuous improvement across our entire business
The ability to assess and evaluate impacts based on various scenarios to form fact-based recommendations using quantitative analysis
Experience in preparing high quality communications across a variety of mediums
Experience in market research and user research
Strong Business Acumen and understanding of business operations
Experience in defining user personas, user journeys and scoping a backlog
