Our client, an established and reputable company in their industry, is seeking a Deductions Coordinator to support the Deductions team. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and reconciliation skills and be responsible for managing all customer deductions while providing administrative support to the team. This is a long-term contract opportunity until the end of the 2023 year based out of their offices in Lunenburg, NS with the option to become hybrid (2 days per week in-office once training is complete).

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Process customer deductions in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Process valid trade deductions based on established contracts
  • Dispute and resolve invalid deductions
  • Foster strong relationships with sales teams to ensure compliance and mitigate overspending and potential fraud
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, clients, and staff
  • Maintaining documentation and backup to support valid deductions and post audits
  • Prepare and review year-end trade accruals
  • Process customer payments

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an administrative support capacity; experience within a financial environment is an added asset
  • Possess a solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency using MS Excel and capable of learning new systems/programs quickly
  • Excellent team working abilities and willingness to build and maintain strong working relationships with others
  • Strong analytical skills with a great attention to detail
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, high-volume department
