Design Engineer Job at GAL Aviation
Position Overview
The design engineer is responsible for designing VIP and commercial aircraft interior cabins in compliance with the aerospace industry and customer requirements.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop installation and assembly drawings of cabin interior parts such as galleys, monuments, lavatories, overhead bins, etc., according to customer requirements.
- Develop modification instructions for existing components and assemblies.
- Design systems assy. (plumbing, mechanisms, etc.)
- Develop 3D Models.
- Undertake all manner of design projects from simple changes to complex STCs.
- Incorporate certification requirements/feedback into the design.
- Make Liaison Red-Lines.
- Actively participate to provide engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electrical,Industrial, Electromechanical, and Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace or other related manufacturing industry.
- Experience in cabinet making, finishing, composite, or system assembly design (plumbing, mechanisms, etc.) will be considered an asset.
- Proficient in 3D modeling software prefer Inventor, others are acceptable.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Ability to develop engineering drawings based on applicable drafting standards and verify the completeness of design drawings.
- Skilled in solving engineering problems with an ingenious mindset.
- B2 English required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $72,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
