As our new Digital Marketing + Social Media Strategist, you'll be the mastermind behind our social media campaigns, helping us increase brand awareness, and engagement, and drive traffic to our website and social platforms. From brainstorming content ideas to crafting clever captions, you'll be at the forefront of all things social.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing social media strategies that will make our competition green with envy
• Creating buzzworthy content that's sure to go viral
• Writing Ad Copy that makes people want to hit that 'buy' button
• Being a Facebook Ads guru, a Google Ads genius, and a videography virtuoso all rolled into one
• Collaborating with our marketing team to create integrated campaigns that will have our audience hooked
• Keeping up-to-date with all the latest social media trends and tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field or pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Experience in social media marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter.
• Experience with Ad Copy, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and videography.
• Ability to think creatively and develop engaging social media content.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This job position is through the Technology Alberta: Scale-Up Program. This full-time position placement is for 500 hours with the possibility of future employment. In order to qualify you must be a resident of Alberta and a current post-secondary student at an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution or a recent graduate from an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution. Employment is to begin prior to June 5th.
