DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Pertinent Information: Direct hire position located in Leamington, Ontario. Overseeing a department of approximately eight (8) employees with three (3) direct reports.Manufacturing experience a definite asset for this role.

Location: Leamington, ON.

Wage: $130,000 - $135,000/year. Bonus + Benefits + RRSP.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all functions relating to financial operations and corporate financial planning.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

• Analyzing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Clearly communicating monthly and annual financial statements to Executive Management.
• Preparting short and long term financial forecasts such as proft and loss statements and cash flow projections for use for internal maangement and external parties.
• Overseeing the audit and tax functions as well as coordinating activities with outside audit firms.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining accounting and administrative policies and procedures for financial accounting and reporting.
• Ensuring that the billing and collections schedules are adhered to and that the financial data and cash flow are steady and supporting the operational requirements
• Leading the annual budgeting and planning process. Reviewing all financial plans and budgets and monitoring the progress and changes while keeping senior leadership team well-informed of the financial status.
• Overseeing and managing payroll functions inclusive of transaction report approval and payroll journal reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Mininmum five (5) years experience in a management accounting role
• Designation required - CPA / CA
• Advanced level of competency with Excel
• SAP experience a definite asset
• Manufacturing experience an asset
• Proficient in corporate accounting and all aspects of GAAP/ASPE
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
