Food and beverage outlets include; member use full service restaurant, banquets, and halfway house.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dishwasher is responsible for general cleanliness of the main kitchen dish areas and other

Food & Beverage kitchen outlet prep areas, equipment and storage as designated.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all chemicals are at sufficient levels at each dish / pot washing areas
  • Must be able to work in all Stewarding areas in the Club
  • Aid Line cooks in prep work where necessary
  • Assist any and all Kitchen staff when required.
  • Clean all pots, pans, and Kitchen equipment on a daily basis
  • Sort and store all china / glass / silverware / cookware and all other dishes in the appropriate holding areas
  • Follow proper lifting procedures when dealing with stacking and lifting
  • Perform transportation of soiled and cleaned items in a safe and effective manner
  • Ensure sanitizing temperatures are kept at correct regulated temperatures
  • Ensure that any anticipated shortages of chemicals and equipment are communicated promptly to the Executive Chef

Healthy & Safety Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations and the Club’s Health and Safety polices and procedures

  • Use or wear any equipment, protective devices or clothing required by the Club
  • Report to your manager / supervisor any known equipment or protective device that may be
  • dangerous, missing or defective
  • Report all accidents, illness, or “near miss” incidents to your manager / supervisor immediately.
  • Must have working knowledge of all equipment located in the Kitchen. Do not remove or
  • disable any protective device
  • Handle hazardous substances according to the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information
  • System regulations
  • Work safely and not use or operate any equipment in a way that may endanger any worker
  • Do not engage in prank, contest, feat of strength, running or rough and boisterous conducts
  • Which may jeopardize their safety or the safety and well-being of others.
  • Ensure that section is being kept clean and tidy at all times to prevent any health or safety
  • Hazards

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Basic understanding of Chemicals * Basic food preparation and Asset (i.e. peeling carrots, potatoes, etc)

  • Must be able to speak and understand English
  • Have the ability to listen to others and follow instructions
  • Ability to cope with extreme pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to do strenuous physical labour, ability to lift weight of 35 – 40lbs
  • Must be available for all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
