Job Summary

Under the direction of the Office Manager the Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operation of our office. Duties will involve greeting visitors, answering incoming phone calls and emails, data entry, processing orders, providing quotes, and helping facilitate efficiencies within our operations team. You are an essential element to the overall operations of our growing company. This busy role is responsible for keeping our fleet and freight moving in and out of the Columbia Valley, while operating at 100% capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Help create and promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance within a fun work environment.

*Greeting visitors, answering a high-volume of incoming phone calls and delivering world-class service to our customers.

*Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance

*Receive and dispatch orders for products and/or deliveries

*Scheduling of trucks and orders including the scheduling boards and all necessary paperwork

*Coordinating dock appointments, route optimization, and distribution throughout the Columbia Valley.

*Use radio, phone or computer to communicate with drivers

*Manage important customer relations with clients, ensuring all their freight needs are being exceeded.

*Provide drivers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles, and requirements

*Monitor the route and status of truck units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule

*Communicating with shippers and receivers to ensure freight is ready for pick up and delivery.

*Help create and promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance within a fun work environment.

*Manage social media accounts, posting company news and growth to share with local community.

*Help organize and contribute time to community events.

*Help support and implement organizational processes, quality, productivity, and efficiencies throughout the organization.

*Support Leadership daily with a variety of different tasks as required through growth

Skills Requirements:

*Tech-Savvy with excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

*Fast typing with experience in data entry

*Proficient in English (oral and written)

*Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

*Active listener with excellent communication skills

*Sound judgement and critical thinking

*Aptitude to learn new software system

*Knowledge of GPS systems and geography

*Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems

*Ability to work in high-pressure situations and an ever-changing work environment.

*Happy, upbeat up personality, contribution to a family work culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
