Part-Time Education Coordinator Wanted

Oxford Learning DDO (West Island) is seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator. Our programs offer individualized support to students who are looking to improve their academic abilities, study habits, and self-esteem. We seek to equip students with the necessary skills to become independent, lifelong learners.

Gain valuable teaching experience! The Education Coordinator participates in all aspects of the centre, including office administration, student programming, meetings with parents, staff management, and teaching students.

This part-time position requires three evening shifts from 3pm – 7:30pm (Monday through Thursday) and Saturdays from 9am – 1:30pm. Please note that we are seeking a candidate who is interested in long-term employment.

Job details:

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online job. There is no relocation package offered.

Responsibilities (Position Details):

• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate individualized academic programs (using Oxford Learning planners and curriculum)
• Master our unique teaching philosophy and coach other teaching members of the team
• Teach elementary and/or high school students as needed
• Maintain contact with parents and meeting with them to discuss their child's progress
• Ensure that the Oxford Learning philosophy is being maintained throughout the centre
• Create a fun and energetic learning environment on a daily basis

A qualified candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree
• Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with children in an educational environment
• Exemplary English and French language skills, including written and oral communication
• Excellent phone skills and experience in customer service
• The ability to communicate and build strong relationships with parents
• The ability to connect with students and create an exciting learning environment

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $18 - $20 / hour

Schedule:

• Evenings (3x per week 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm)
• Monday to Thursday
• Saturday (9:00 am - 1:30 pm)
