We are looking for a Employer Engagement Manager to join our team! Are you someone who is driven by building relationships, and representing our brand at employer associations and employer-sanctioned events? Are you someone who enjoys planning, coordinating, and participating in local employment engagement events & activities?

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, you are primarily responsible for acquiring sustainable job placements for ODG candidates by directly marketing to employers. Coaching & Supervising our employment engagement team, identifying training material to support the teams goals, and being the subject matter expert in the areas of employer marketing, engagement and sales. You will be responsible for establishing and promoting relationships with regional and local employers, and for the implementation of sales cycles, resulting in the acquisition of new or renewed contracts/agreements for ODG, including but not limited to agreements to hire ODG candidates for permanent, sustainable jobs.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Employer Marketing
  • Provide post placement support through ongoing contact/follow-up with employers, and where required negotiation of workplace accommodations and modifications.
  • Implementing sales pipeline strategies and activities
  • Develop and maintain an employer loyalty program for different employer classifications.
  • Employer engagement strategy and initiatives
  • Supervising, coaching and mentoring our local employment engagement team
  • Provide sales training, coaching and mentorship to the employment engagement team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the areas of employer marketing, engagement, and sales.
  • Develop, organize, coordinate and implement training/employment partnerships with employers
  • Present and represent ODG at local/regional conferences and labour market symposiums
  • Represent ODG at business associations such as Board of Trade; trade and sector-specific associations, etc.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Social Science
  • Valid B.C. driver's license and use of personal vehicle during working hours.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in sales and marketing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking, giving sales presentations, and organizing marketing events.
  • Demonstrated analytical, planning, and organizational skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using computer applications including CRM and Office 365 applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with leadership, staff, government officials, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain administrative and client records.

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Required to pass a criminal history background and/or fingerprinting.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Must have the ability to work on a computer for an extended period.
  • Travel within British Columbia may be required.
  • As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Open Door Group must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
