Reporting to: Campus Administrator (FSJ)

Salary:


Classification 12, $25.54 - $26.33/hr (Currently under review and subject to change), as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Temporary employees also receive an additional $0.50/hr. in lieu of benefits, as well as having 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay. There will be scheduled time off between the period of Christmas and New Year's Day that is unpaid time.

NLC is seeking to hire four (4) energetic team members to work within NLC's 50-30 Challenge Hub. Work will include mentoring, coaching, and training services for organizations' leaders across Western Canada related to the 50 - 30 Challenge Ecosystem Funding Program (under the terms of the Colleges and Institutes Canada). This is a collaborative project that is focused on relationship building and helping participants meet the goals and objectives of the 50-30 Challenge.

The EDI Project Advisor will host virtual and in-person informational sessions and workshops across Western Canada, facilitating network development and connections. You will gather the baseline data and evaluate for improvement opportunities across the term of project.

In this role, you will support process development and will provide ongoing administrative support to the project's team. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, preparing correspondence, data collection and reporting, budget monitoring, workshop planning and delivery, tracking spending and managing project timelines.

The positions may be located in any of our Peace Region communities: Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, Fort St John, Fort Nelson or Tumbler Ridge.


Qualifications:

The successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, social sciences, EDI management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in developing and implementing organizational EDI programs and proficiency in evaluation methods to measure effectiveness in evaluating organizational EDI programs in the post-secondary sector.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of EDI frameworks, policies, procedures, best practices, and provincial/federal legislation.
  • Must have experience in organizational change management and communication planning and methods.
  • Must have experience in facilitation, preferably around initiatives that promote EDI in workplaces.
  • Experience and proficiency with the current version of MS Office is required.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment, multi-task, and work independently.
  • A valid Driver's License will be required.
