Support Staff Full-time Appendix D Replacement Position (Repost) Immediate– March 2023 at the Doon campus

Student Recruitment is currently looking for an Event & Tour Coordinator position to fulfill a contract until approximately March 2023 at the Doon campus.

The Event & Tour Coordinator is responsible for the overall co-ordination of marketing events and tours at the College. The incumbent works with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to add additional tours and manage attendee feedback received via surveys. The Event & Tour Coordinator manages virtual tour content and ensures accuracy for programs/services at specified campuses.

Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the planning, coordinating and execution of multi-campus recruitment events that take place on campus, virtually and within the community (i.e. College Fair, Fall & Spring Open Houses)
  • Builds and maintains relationships with all schools and services involved with participation/planning of event
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and hosting private client/group tours at the Doon campus
  • Develops evaluation forms to ensure the effectiveness of tours and events
  • Updates tour guide scripts for the Doon, Cambridge, Waterloo and Guelph campuses
  • Supports the recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and coaching of student tour guides
  • Builds relationships with prospective students and families/parents of prospective students, when considering Conestoga
  • Maintains relationships with teachers, proactively soliciting return visits for subsequent years
  • Administrator of virtual tours website
  • Creates and proofreads applicable marketing material and content for print and web


Qualifications:

  • Three-year Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Event Planning or related field of study required
  • Five years of marketing or event planning experience
  • Demonstrated Initiative with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally, tactfully, and diplomatically
  • Possess initiative and problem-solving ability, attention to detail
  • Adaptability, flexible, calm and focussed team player with the ability to move projects along to meet deadlines
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
