A large and complex organization, eHealth is comprised of 30+ clinical and non-clinical program (service) areas that all work together to support health care providers and teams across the province in delivering the best possible care to patients, providers, citizens, and health system users. Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.

The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

About the Role
In this position, you would support the Human Resource team by providing high quality, timely support in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment. The position requires a person with highly developed organizational, communication, and people skills along with a desire to make a difference. Given the work involves sensitive and undisclosed matters, a solid understanding of confidentiality is also essential. Typically, our candidate of choice will have superior organizational and communication skills and be well versed in business protocols, policies and administrative procedures. Familiarity with Human Resource processes, procedures and public sector structures will be considered a definite asset.

Competencies required in this position would be obtained through a certificate, diploma or degree in Human Resources, business and/or office education combined with years of progressive senior administrative experience.

The successful candidate must consistently demonstrate:
  • Experience supporting members of the Human Resource team, including calendar management for multiple leaders and proactively seeking creative solutions when required. Considerable experience in preparing agendas and taking minutes at meetings while identifying items for follow up. Capacity to quickly and accurately prepare a variety of documents utilizing advanced features of spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify issues, make timely and accurate decisions and independently organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks while dealing with frequent interruptions under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail, ability to set priorities, complete assigned duties within timelines and work effectively with minimal supervision, deal with conflicting priorities and work demands;
  • Will hold all confidential information in trust & confidence while used only for the purpose required.
  • Commitment to and passion for customer service, relationship building, teamwork, quality improvement and attention to details. High tolerance for achieving results in a complex and dynamic environment with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, at all organizational levels including at the political level, with members of the public and external agencies.
  • Understanding of governance and operational processes as well as familiarity with the public sector structures and processes;
  • Collaboration with Executive Administrative Assistant to ensure the department is well supported.
  • Maintaining the filing and preparing a variety of materials and documents using appropriate software. Expert skill and experience utilizing a variety of software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) including WebEx.
