We are assisting our client who is known for custom-made products in finding experienced, professional, and driven production workers to assist in their fabrication facility located near the St. Laurent area in Ottawa. The role is a permanent opportunity very fit for someone who is very knowledgeable with tools and equipment to be used for grinding, drilling, and general prep of the custom made products

The rate is 19.00/hr

Shift: 7:30 – 4:00 pm – Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

• Use of tools and equipment to drill and grind the metal pieces used to complete the product
• Handling the metal pieces and finished products in the shop to prepare for shipment
• Polishing metal pieces and sheets
• Ensuring that exact and precise measurements are done to the customized products
• Follow instructions and blueprints
• Maintain a clean workspace

Qualifications

• Proficient in using small hand tools and equipment
• Comfortable using a measuring tape and doing measurements
• Must have production or manufacturing experience
• Experience in custom design, carpentry or woodworking is an asset
• Very Good communication and comprehension skills
• Drive and motivated
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
