Summary:

Avery Weigh-Tronix is a global leader in the weighing industry and is currently looking for a full time Field Service Technician reporting to its Kitimat/Terrace operation. The ideal candidate will perform or assist with set up, installations, repairs, maintenance, calibration and certification of industrial scales such as truck scale, fork lift Scale and train scales as well as other industrial and commercial weighing systems. Class 3 License preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze equipment problems and make field corrections, often working independently
  • Respond to emergency repair at customer site in a calm, efficient and professional manner
  • Interface with customers to supply technical assistance
  • Advise customer personnel of proper equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures
  • Complete Legal for Trade certification as a Measurement Canada Accredited Technician (Accreditation provided as part of the training program)
  • Maintain work area and equipment in an orderly manner
  • Write neat and accurate service reports and calibration certificate
  • Attend company training sessions as requested

Profile:

  • Experience with inspecting, repairing and maintaining structural, mechanical, electrical and systems. Industrial scale repair/calibration experience is a asset.
  • A valid driver license (Class 3 Driver License required)
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints and schematics
  • Able to deal effectively with customers
  • This is a hands-on, in the field job that requires working in many different types of environments
  • Trade license will be an asset
  • 310T or 310S trade license is preferred.
