ABOUT THE ROLE

Aquafor is looking for a Full-time Junior Financial Analyst to join the firm’s Finance Team. The existing finance team’s primary responsibility include bookkeeping, monthly invoicing, reconciliation of bank statements, A/R and A/P Management, payroll and expense administration and the preparation of reporting statements. Specifically, you will be providing technical assistance to the Finance Team Lead with daily tasks that include the following:

  • Working collaboratively as part of our team and with staff and management.
  • General accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly drafts and invoices.
  • Reconciliation of Bank statements and preparation of Government remittances.
  • A/R collection and tracking.
  • A/P processing and tracking.
  • Payroll and expense administration.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting statements, including support and collaboration with the firm’s accountants.
  • Writing emails, doing follow-ups when a response is required.
  • Compile documentation for special information requests.
  • Support for researching, analyzing, and operationalizing new HR policies and processes: benefits, leave management, expense management for international travel, time-tracking.
  • Support on legal and/or tax compliance tasks.
  • Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, with a minimum of 2-years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or general finance for a Small-Medium sized Business Enterprise.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized institution in the field of accounting or related studies (business, economics, finance, etc.) will be considered an asset.
  • Additional experience in Finance and Administrative services for a consulting firm or business will be considered an asset.
  • Must have traits: excellent organizational skills (ability to handle multiple files at once and to keep information/files organized), attention to detail, discretion, autonomy, and flexibility.
  • Experience working with Google Suite and/or MS Office, and ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Fluency (speaking, reading, and writing) in English is a must.
  • Track record of managing time effectively and balancing part time work with other commitments.
  • Experience using InFocus is an asset, but not required.
  • Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle is required.
