Overview

The Finance Analyst will participate in the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to provide leaders with visibility into the organization’s results to help drive decision making. Additionally this role will also support and manage trade promotional budgets and enhancing planning tools and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the financial planning process by assisting with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
  • Prepare monthly internal financial reports to compare actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigate drivers of significant variances
  • Analyze and provide insights on financials
  • Conduct research to uncover key issues, benchmarks, and best practices and synthesize findings into recommendations for optimal business solutions
  • Provide analytical support to corporate and regional teams as required for supplier reviews, quarterly business reviews, and on-going business performance managementSupport the analysis of pricing and promotional activities to drive effective use of trade spend

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements in area of responsibility, focus on simplicity, accountability and bringing value to the business
  • Develop and/or update process manuals / documentation
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver timely results to a high standard
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two years of financial planning and analysis experience in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and software applications related to job function, Intermediate to Advanced Excel/ Visual Basic Analysis (VBA) required
  • Technical knowledge of finance methodologies and reporting/business intelligence tools
  • Experience in a consumer goods organization involving multiple SKU's
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, and presentation delivery skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
  • Attention to detail with a strong desire to deliver value-added support, strong follow-up skills, independent decision-maker

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs
