Food Processing Operator Job at Top Hand Supplies
Top Hand Supplies is currently taking applications for Food Processing Operators at our Cranbrook facility. Top Hand Supplies Cranbrook plant makes all-natural frozen raw pet foods and all-natural pet treats.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately mix/measure raw food ingredients
- Set up & operate large industrial food processing machinery
- Communicate effectively with team members
- Ensure quality and sanitation standards are met and maintained
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Maintain throughput targets through efficient work practices and communication
- Disassemble, clean, & sanitize equipment
- Clean & sanitize work areas
- Contribute to continuous improvement through creative and analytical thinking and engagement
Skills, Qualifications, & Experience
- Previous food manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be a team player
- Must be reliable
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull
- Forklift operators certification and experience preferred
Work Environment
- Fast-paced noisy environment
- Working directly with raw food products including meat
- Conditions can be cold, wet, warm
- Some physically demanding aspects
- Small crew environment
- Early morning starts
Additional Info
- Currently, this crew is working a compressed work schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. This provides a better work-life balance than regular five-day-a-week positions.
