Aardvark Pavement Marking Services has over 20 years of experience painting lines in British Columbia from Victoria to the Alberta border. Offering a wide range of services varying from highway marking to parking lots. Capable of handling any job, any size and anywhere!

The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at pavement marking sites. Taking charge and working both on/off site as the project is completed, ensuring the successful completion of the working project. This individual will be key to the success of the working crew and the organization. With their experience they will easily be able to directly work with others and make quick decisions in a safe and timely manner. The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined.

Working Conditions

Those working in this position should expect to travel from worksite to worksite leading their crew, within the working months of April through September. With the expectation to work flexible hours including nights and weekends, seven days a week. Long hours will be required on a regular basis during the work season.

What You’re Expected To Do

This position requires many duties to be performed. This individual uses extensive leadership skills and will be expected to work hands on with crew members.

· Production reporting

· Work site travel

· Ability to read drawings, plans and pavement marking blueprints

· Client and public handling

· Crew management

· Field work, training and equipment operation

· Coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance

· Inventory/Quality management

· Field work safety

· Decision making and problem solving

· Deadline and time management

· Communication with superiors

What We Are Looking For

· Class 5 or above drivers license, and insurable drivers abstract.

· Mechanical aptitude to understand and direct field repairs on equipment.

· Willingness to work assigned night or day shifts with flexibility to work long hours.

· Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, clients and the general public in a courteous, professional matter.

· Ability to use email, word processing software and complete roadside reports.

· Physically fit and able to lift 50 pounds.

The Experience Required From You

· Minimum of 3 years experience as a foreman or employee managerial position.

· Superior communication, motivational skills and ability to monitor and drive project progress.

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

· Knowledge and experience with employee management principles.

· Previous road work or pavement marking is an asset.

· Traffic control training is an asset. If not currently certified, must be willing to become a TCP certified.
