The Pizza Cook manages multiple, simultaneous processes - from making dough and ingredient prep, to cooking pizza in a deck pizza oven. They are responsible for ensuring ingredients and prep are stocked before the lunch service and communicating with head chef to order supplies.
The Pizza Cook is expected to make excellent pizzas and will be responsible for teaching others to prepare dough, assemble pizzas according to recipes, and cook them properly. The resulting product should be consistent and delicious. They should be able to read and follow basic cooking instructions and recipes.
They are responsible for maintaining industrial kitchen equipment and ensuring food preparation station meets sanitation standards. Must have current Foodsafe and WHMIS training.
Duties:
- Prepares pizza dough on a daily basis.
- Assembles pizzas following given recipes and ingredients.
- Ensures the quality of pizzas before they are served to customers.
- Trains other cooks in the preparation process so all pizzas are consistent.
- Monitor's food stock and informs head chef when supplies are needed.
- Ensures pizza station is sanitized and prepared with necessary tools.
- Records pizza pars and waste on a daily basis.

Other requirements:
- Preparing a variety of mixes of doughs, cookies, muffins, scones throughout in the morning.
- Responsible for baking and displaying all baked goods consistently to meet our standards.
- Wash and peel vegetables and fruit.
- Assist other cook and kitchen staff.
- Wash baking utensils, pots, and pans by using dishwashers or by hands
- Cleaned and sanitized all work stations, equipment, utensils, and storage areas
- Restock all items as required throughout shift
$17.50/hr - 37.5hr/wk
