Aboriginal Funeral Chapel & Kilcollins Cremation Service Winnipeg, MB

Aboriginal Funeral Chapel & Kilcollins Cremation Service, a family-owned service provider is seeking a full-time/part-time Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer or Apprentice Funeral Director and Embalmer who is either currently enrolled in an accredited program or will be enrolled for the Fall 2023 Program to join our team.

We are looking to fill this position with a qualified, action orientated and self-motivated individual who is capable of prioritizing and handling multiple demands simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Supporting the necessary functions of the funeral home

· Preparing and directing funeral, wake and burial services

· Caring for the deceased in a respectful manner while performing a variety of tasks which may include: performing removals and transfers including lifting of decedents; embalming; dressing and preparing caskets

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this role:

· Valid Drivers License

· Ability to carry and lift 50 lbs.

· Strong organization skills and work ethic

· Computer competency

· High level of compassion and integrity

· Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation

Salary: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
