As part of our Vancouver Geospatial team TRE Altamira is seeking two (2) Geospatial Solutions Analysts to join our collaborative team. We are open to different experience levels.

In this role, you’ll apply your GIS, coding, and project management skills to assess and manage large geospatial datasets and prepare professional reports and presentations for delivery to our clients.

About Us

TRE Altamira is the leading InSAR provider worldwide. TRE was founded in 2000, is part of the CLS Group and has offices in Vancouver (Canada), Milan (Italy), and Barcelona (Spain). Our growing Vancouver office provides InSAR services to the North American and Australian markets.

We are a multidisciplinary team with leading-edge knowledge of SAR and InSAR applications. Our

patented radar imagery processing algorithms provide displacement measurements and operational

mapping solutions that are used worldwide in a variety of sectors, including mining, civil engineering, oil

& gas, and geohazards.

What You’ll be Doing

· Using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software, internal tools and scripts to critically assess InSAR data sets and perform quality control procedures to meet the needs of clients

· Liaising with the data processing team to understand and improve InSAR data sets to meet internal standards and client expectations

· Writing clear professional reports and presentations that incorporate critical thinking and spatial data analysis

· Manage timelines, communication, and deliverables of multiple projects simultaneously with accountability to commitments

· Using your coding skills to automate workflows, support other members of the Geospatial Solutions team and improve/maintain existing scripts

· Providing outstanding service to build lasting, professional relationships with clients and stakeholders

· Using your resourcefulness to identify and manage spatial datasets (e.g. geological data, optical imagery, existing maps, etc)

· Supporting the sales and marketing team by attending technical conferences, and assisting in the preparation of tenders and proposals

Who You Are

· Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision

· Organizational and time management skills with accountability to project communication, quality, timelines and deliverables

· Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills in client and internal interactions with sound judgement in tailoring communication to the recipient

· Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and priorities.

· A collaborative, positive and helpful attitude toward forming strong professional relationships within a small diverse team

· Demonstrated ability to use creative thinking to solve problems and find new solutions

· Ability to positively interact with clients, understand their needs, and solve their problems quickly and effectively

Requirements

· Advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro software

· Post-secondary education in Geology, Geomatics, Civil, Geotechnical or Mine Engineering, or other related disciplines

· Applied programming skills (Python, Matlab, SQL) with a demonstrated ability to automate work processes

· Demonstrated project management skills

· A focus on client satisfaction

· Knowledge of remote sensing

· Strong communication skills, including technical report writing, presentation skills and fluency in written/spoken English

· Demonstrated ability to manage client interactions and deliver client presentations

· Competency with the Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Drive suites

Assets

· Geological background

· Knowledge of mining and/or oil & gas and/or civil engineering sectors

· Knowledge of mining (e.g. Vulcan) and/or oil & gas (e.g. Petrel, Landmark) industry software

· Knowledge of Project Management principles

· Knowledge of InSAR

· Knowledge of surveying techniques

· Additional languages in French, Spanish, Italian to interact with our other offices.
