Industrial Recruiter (Work from home) Job at Workforce Inc.

Working closely with the HR Coordinator, the Recruiter will play an instrumental role in sourcing, vetting and on-boarding mining personnel for a gold mine start-up. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced recruiter who enjoys working in a high volume and fast-paced environment as part of a cohesive team. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years' recruitment experience in industrial recruitment, specifically within the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with hiring managers to create job descriptions, review, and prepare job postings and place advertisements
  • Manage applications received
  • Coordinate hiring process, process background checks and complete employment offers
  • Communicate with new employees and respond to applicant inquiries
  • Coordinate temporary employment with staffing agencies
  • Review current recruitment strategy and revise as required
  • Candidate management from sourcing to onboarding in an efficient and positive manner
  • Ensure timely completion of all new hire paperwork, following-up when necessary
  • Verify the new employee is accurately entered into company HRIS
  • Maintain contact with hiring manager though onboarding process
  • Schedule orientation/inductions for new employees
  • Provide onboarding guide to all new employees and update when necessary
  • Conduct formal orientation with new employees
  • Ensure new employees receive benefits and policy review, complete required company training
  • Arrange for pre-employment testing, as required
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in an HR related field would be considered an asset
  • 1 - 5 years experience in an industrial recruitment role, specifically within the mining industry is required
  • Working knowledge of employment laws
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Office, MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in teleconference and video conferencing, such as Zoom and Teams
  • Knowledge of ATS

Schedule: Monday to Friday, work from home (some flexibility to work extra hours may be needed at times when)
