About the Dalhousie Student Union (DSU): The DSU represents the collective voice of over 18,000 students in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The DSU advocates for student rights, builds community on campus through events, supports over 300 societies, and provides focused services to foster a supportive and positive student experience.
Position Summary: The Information Center is the friendly and knowledgeable face of the DSU. This position is open to Dalhousie University students only.
Key Accountabilities
- Providing general campus information
- Event inquiries
- Mail distribution
- Ticket sales and Leave For services
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a Dalhousie Student currently enrolled or will be enrolled for the Fall and Winter semesters.
- Must be a team player and possess an attention for detail.
- Use of computer based Point of Sale system and some cash experience is preferred.
- Previous experience would be considered an asset.
This opportunity runs from April 1,2023 - April 2024 . This position pays $13.60 per hour averaging 10 - 15 hours a week. Applicants must include their schedule for Fall and Winter as this position is for specific shifts.
