To support our growth strategy in Asia, we are seeking an International Sales Manager for the Asian market.


The Role


The International Sales Manager leads and executes the sales plans and initiatives in emerging markets in Asia, by offering Cooke’s product portfolio to support the growth and development in the region.


This position offers professional, effective, and efficient service to customers, and has close interaction with cross-functional departments within Cooke, including International Business Development, Marketing, Product Development, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Quality Assurance.


The position will be based in Saint John, New Brunswick, reporting to the International Business Development Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard new customers and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Manage existing customer relationships.
  • Communicate with customers effectively on product availability, pricing, sales forecasting, order confirmation and entry, order fulfillment, and delivery confirmation.
  • Follow up on shipment feedback and process customer claims in a timely manner.
  • Utilize our CRM system to track information for new and existing customers.
  • Prepare and analyze sales data to support recommendations.
  • Provide market insights to support the business growth strategy.
  • Participate in international trade shows, product training, and customer meetings.
  • Work with marketing to plan and implement promotional campaigns.
  • Stay current on import and export requirements and destination country regulations on seafood.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of sales experience with the Asian seafood market.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Multitasking and time management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Finance and accounting skills.
  • Flexibility in traveling and servicing in different time zones.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability in Japanese or Chinese preferred
