Ameresco Canada has a summer Internship opportunity to support our Construction team based out of Richmond Hill, Ontario. This position will support the Construction Project Manager with preparing an Operations and Maintenance Manual as part of the phased project closeout.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Intern will be responsible for:
Assisting with compiling documentation from various subcontractors for the closeout of the work;
Coordinating various tasks associated with the closeout activities;
Attending meetings with Subcontractors and Owner associated with the closeout of the subcontract packages of work;
Formatting the information compiled into a hard copy and/or electronic Operations and Maintenance Manuals for Owner/Operator use;
Liaising with Owner to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives of the Manuals;
Visiting the project site to gather information;
Delivering finished results within established deadlines; and,
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; must be enrolled in school for the duration of the internship.
Fully proficient in the use of current Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Project.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Able to work with team members, Subcontractors and the Owner to complete the Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
Able to breakdown the overall task into doable actions and set timeframes.
Able to work independently to complete tasks.
