Position: *Inventory Supervisor
Status: Regular Full Time, 40 hours a week
Department: Supply Chain Management
Location: Delta, BC, Canada
Reports to: Senior Planner, Supply Chain Department

Purpose:*
Whitewater is seeking a Inventory Supervisor who supervises and controls stockroom’s daily operations by the directing and assigning of work to inventory staff to ensure planned objectives are met. Maintains a positive company image by being courteous and professional in all situations with customers and employees.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*

  • Ensure that planed work activities are executed on a timely basis, accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate replenishment and inventory.
  • Oversee accuracy of materials issuances by stockroom.
  • Monitor negative inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Execute a monthly physical inventory counts to review and analyze inventory discrepancies.
  • Supervise and coordinate work orders with the relevant teams.
  • Direct activities related to inventory usage: picking, packing and recording transactions in ERP system.
  • Prioritize kitting, and kit assembly, releases and audit to maintain traceability of backorders.
  • Provide knitting feedback to Senior Planner for customer commitment purposes.
  • Maintain Work/Planning status white board.
  • Accountable for all inventory transactions
  • Updating and publishing metrics
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement projects and procedures to improve systems, processes, inventory accuracy and schedule support.
  • Controlling quality standards in stores by following Stores QC Procedure.
  • Lead one continuous improvement project per year.
  • Bin management: part number labels, maintain Kanban replenishment, rotate old with newer stock, moving frequently issued parts to lower shelves.
  • Responsible for safety and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MRP, LEAN, KAIZEN inventory, and production principles.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Previous D365 experience is an asset.
  • Previous exposure to Lean and 5S manufacturing practices.
  • Understanding of Kanban and inventory systems.
  • Post-Secondary school education in related field an asset.
  • Forklift certification or experience an asset.
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Must be able to work on both established shifts as required.
  • Available to work overtime hours as required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
