A day in the life of a Journeyman AC Mechanic/HVAC Service Technician:

• Participate in safe work practices, tool-box meetings, and hazard assessments
• Perform preventative maintenance on various mechanical systems
• Diagnose issues, perform repairs and maintenance as required
• Order parts and follow service contract guidelines as prescribed by client
• Update maintenance logs and provide detailed reporting of tasks and activities
• Collaborate with apprentices and coworkers in completing tasks efficiently
• Maintain positive, professional business relations with clients and coworkers
• Collaborate with estimating and sales force to provide material take-offs on all work

What you will bring to the table:

• Ability to follow safe procedures and PPE requirements while performing tasks
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with commercial / industrial AC and mechanical service and installations
• Journeyman Ticket, also *Class A Gas Fitter Certification a bonus
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on daily tasks
• Robust ability to adapt to continually shifting priorities
• Sense of urgency, proactive nature, and the ability to make judgment calls
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional troubleshooting and communication skills
• Thorough understanding of applicable Codes of Practice
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Competence using computer software including Outlook, Word, and Excel
