Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Practice safe and secure scaffold access without compromising on safety
  • Verify requirements from drawings and written instructions, select materials, and set ground levels
  • Perform daily inspections of scaffolding
  • Fit together steel pipes, support braces, and clamps to form bases for scaffolds
  • Lift and position sections of scaffolding and bolt pipes together to build up the scaffolding
  • Place planks over horizontal bars to create platforms
  • Inspect scaffolds after any changes or alterations have been made
  • Ensure scaffolding structures are level
  • Dismantle scaffolding at the completion of a job
  • Fix guard rails and safety netting
  • Prioritize daily workload and manage materials efficiently
  • Establish and promote excellent relationships through clear and accurate communication
  • Take instruction from the Site Supervisor or Site Foreman to ensure projects are completed in a safe manner, on time, and on budget
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and demobilize Ketek equipment for the benefit of the client
  • Use, clean, and maintain the different tools required at the work-site
  • When not in the field, will work in the shop and complete duties as required under the direction of a Shop Foreman
  • Follow instructions from the Project Manager
  • Take responsibility for all related site functions
  • Perform routine onsite housekeeping duties
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner

  • Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper Personal Protective Equipment

Working Conditions:

  • Field environment (85%) and shop environment (15%)
  • Be willing to and able to work in remote locations for extended periods of time
  • The work is both physically and mentally demanding
  • Must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat
  • Pre-access drug and alcohol testing will be required
  • On-call 24/7 - 365

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
  • Minimum 3 years’ oilfield and/or construction experience
  • Valid Driver's License with Driver's Abstract

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Grande Prairie, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • scaffolding: 2 years (preferred)
  • Oilfield/Rental: 3 years (preferred)
