With roots as a tech start up in Calgary, Arcus is now scaling into global markets, and we are looking for a Jr. Software Developer to join our technology team to be part of our accelerated growth.

The Role

We are looking to add a Junior Software Developer with 0-3 years experience to our team to help us rapidly grow our power market data front end technologies. Our current technologies in play include modern HTML and JavaScript using REACT and JQuery. Our server products are .NET and SQL. This role appeals to newer web developers with a front-end focus and interest in design who are looking to hone their craft and want to learn new skills in front end development in an agile environment. Primary responsibilities include the following:

• Technical implementation of front-end application features in HTML and JavaScript
• Improving existing features in our web applications
• Contributing as able to the planning and prioritization of product releases

Your Profile

• 0-3 years of client-side Javascript, CSS and HTML
• Familiarity with Web APIs and how to use them
• An eye for detail and consistency in design
• You have a recent project that you can show off

Nice to Have (preferred skills)

• Any REACT development experience
• Experience with agile software development practices
• Previous work in the energy industry
• Graphic design or User Experience design skill
