About us

We are different from other Public Practice Accountants. Yes, I know they all say that but we really are.

We are in the somewhat unique position of being big enough to provide tons of advancement possibilities and yet small enough to allow our team members to really show what they can do. Our most recent Partner started at LLT in a seasonal position in 2013 while he completed his degree. He remained with us, learning, growing and developing after the end of the seasonal contract and achieved Partner before the age of 28.

Based in beautiful Chilliwack, BC, we have amazing relationships within the community which has resulted in our client base continually growing at such a rate that we need more aspiring accountants to join our team.

So what does an amazing team member look like? It could be an experienced professional with a proven track record of providing quality work to their clients. It could also be a new graduate with no accounting experience but with the attitude and willingness to learn the skills needed to become a great accountant.

Sounds good? It is and we are. That said, LLT is not for everybody. We expect a lot from our staff and we want everyone to reach their full potential. If you are up for a challenge and have a drive for continuous improvement you will likely thrive here.

In addition to working hard, we play hard too. Ask about the time we headed up to Whistler on the Rocky Mountaineer. Or we completed a Survivor challenge on Crescent Beach. About you

If you have accounting experience, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• How to add value to clients
• How you desire to build relationships with our clients
• How you are always looking for better and more efficient ways to do the work.

If you have completed your degree or are in your 3rd or 4th year at University, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• How you strive for excellence, whether that be in your work experience, your studies or your sports.
• How you have a passion for accounting
• An understanding that at LLT you will receive a very broad exposure to many different clients and accounting principles and you are going to soak up that knowledge.

It also goes without saying that you want to enter the CPA program and get your designation and we are happy to help you through that process. We are an Approved Training Office for CPA and we do provide financial assistance for education costs. We also have an awesome CPA Mentorship Program so there will always be someone to encourage and help you to get your designation.

If you have completed your designation, we welcome your experience and we promise we will continue to challenge you and provide opportunities for promotion.

Chilliwack is a great city….and contrary to popular belief only smells of cow poop on occasional days throughout the year. House prices are lower than most of the Lower Mainland. If you’re commuting into Chilliwack, our office is conveniently located just off highway 1.

Pay is comparable to other accounting firms AND unlike many other accounting firms, overtime is paid at time and a half and can be banked to be taken as either time off or pay.
