Fossil Landscape Construction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Estimator to join our team. The Landscape Estimator will be responsible for assessing project requirements, performing takeoffs, estimating various construction tasks and preparing proposals for residential landscaping projects.

We specialize in the construction and maintenance of custom high-end residential properties with projects located in Vancouver, West Vancouver, Whistler and Bowen Island. Fossil’s team of professional construction workers and tradespeople execute a broad range of complex exterior construction tasks to the highest degree of workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze landscape plans, drawings, specifications and other project documents to accurately determine the overall project scope and requirements.
• Attend design meetings and site visits to gather additional project information.
• Complete quantity take-offs from plans.
• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates of labour materials, equipment and other expenses.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors and team members to obtain the necessary information to complete estimates.
• Coordinate with the project management team to ensure that proposals are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in the budget management and ongoing estimating of current construction projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape construction estimating.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in landscape construction.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping and construction practices, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, drawings, and construction specifications.
• Proficient in computer software applications including estimating and project management software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail and operates with a sense of urgency and accountability.
