Trillium Staffing is seeking a Licensed Electrician for one of our clients located in Orangeville, ON. Our client is a global plastics manufacturer, and their business is growing!

The Licensed Electrician is responsible for the daily maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the plant, and ensuring all preventative maintenance is completed, resolving unplanned equipment downtime issues, and supporting ongoing continuous improvement projects.

This is a full time, permanent position!

What you’ll do as a Licensed Electrician:

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate test instruments and circuit diagrams
• Maintain and repair electrical/electronic/electromechanical systems
• Follow all safety precautions and procedures
• Ensure that all equipment is safe before releasing to production and perform all electrical Preventative Maintenance related inspections
• Records results and reports results as per procedures.

Qualifications required for a Licensed Electrician:

• MUST be a Certified Industrial Electrician (442A Certified)
• A minimum of 3-5 years of North American experience in a maintenance role or skilled trade role, working in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment
• Troubleshooting skills with ability to repair and maintain equipment and machinery
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
• Must be highly motivated with self-discipline
• Must be available to work rotating shifts, overtime or on call as required – regular shift is Monday to Friday, 7 am – 3:30 pm
• Ability to perform hands on maintenance duties, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting/carrying heavy objects
• Forklift experience is preferred
• Intermediate to Expert knowledge of PLC programming and Robotics
• Extensive experience reading and interpreting electrical and electronic control schematics
• Knowledge of electrical code of Ontario.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player
• Must have own CSA Approved Ankle covered safety boots
• Must be able to work an 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday
• Must be double vaccinated for COVID-19 and be willing to provide proof.
