POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This term teaching assignment will commence September 5, 2023 to June 28, 2024 or one day prior to the return of the
teacher being replaced, whichever occurs first.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid Red Seal Jouerneyperson Plumbing Trades Licence required •
Enrollment in or completion of a provincially recognized teaching certificate program (including Vocational Teacher

Educations Certificate) is an asset •
A Classroom Limited Teaching Permit will be required if not currently certified to teach (the Division will assist the

successful candidate in applying for this permit). •
Minimum of five years job experience as a journeyperson required •
Residential and Commercial work experience preferred •
City of Winnipeg Contractors License and Code Familiarity would be an asset •
Work experience should be current •
Teaching experience would be an asset •
Strong computer literacy, communication and written skills •
Strong interpersonal skills and a team player •
Experience coaching students’ participation in industry work placements •
Demonstrated ability to form positive partnerships within the industry •
Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills •
Bilingual (English/French) will be an asset
