Our AdvanTec Manufacturing Canada facility in Chilliwack BC, is looking for a positive, eager to learn Machine Shop Helper to join our team in the Custom Fabrication department. The Machine Shop Helper is responsible for performing various repetitive tasks and will use a variety of light equipment or power tools to complete their tasks.

Essential functions for this role:

• Operate light machinery, including grinders, sanders, cordless drills, and saws
• Install fabricated components in the final product
• Monitor the quality of the product
• Adhere to all safety standards and SOP’s

Experience, qualifications, and skills:

• Previous experience using hand and power tools and an understanding of CNC equipment an asset
• Previous experience working in a production environment an asset
• Overhead crane and forklift experience are considered assets, but not required
• Quality and detail oriented with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
• Great attitude, punctuality & attendance
• Computer proficiency a strong asset
• Able to lift 50 pounds safely and accurately read a tape measure
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A team player able to work in a fast-paced repetitive environment
